Simply Measured

 Monitored Keywords

Simply Measured integrates social listening in its platform. This can help you monitor any keywords on social networks, blogs, forums and video sites.

While Simply Measured supports Boolean language, you can use its wizard to build your search query. With this, you can add keywords (‘OR’ and ‘AND’) and exclude irrelevant ones (‘NOT’). You can also target languages, so if you only want to see mentions in English, you can do so.

Simply Measured supports URL tracking. This lets you see all the social shares of a webpage (if you have a specific link), or an entire website (if you want to track social shares of your site regardless of what post or page is shared).

You can also track shortened links, something that only a few social listening tools can do well: you’ll find that a large number of people who share content from your site do so using shortened links, whether it’s with HootSuite’s shortening system (ow.ly), po.st or perhaps bit.ly. You want to make sure that you have a tool that can keep track of any links shared from your website, shortened or not, and Simply Measured can help you with that.

The monitored keywords reports from Simply Measured offer the following:

Active Monitoring

One feature related to the Monitored Keywords reports is Active Monitoring, which lets you set alerts based on parameters you can set, such as:

  • Mentions by someone with a Klout score higher than X (which you can define);
  • Mentions by someone with more than X followers (which you can define);
  • Increase in volume of mentions (you can set the percentage of increase);
  • Mentions by specific people (e.g. influential people).

You can also filter those mentions by language, and you can exclude mentions by specific accounts (e.g. if you have a separate Customer Service account that often mentions your main account).
